QBeeQ Framework

Product documentation for the QBeeQ Framework

The QBeeQ Framework is the foundation for all QBeeQ plugins in Sisense, acting as a central hub where users can manage, install, and trial various QBeeQ solutions. It ensures smooth operation by providing shared libraries, such as amCharts and toastr, while also handling licensing and version management.

πŸ›‘

Before using any QBeeQ plugins, this framework must be installed and enabled. See Installing QBeeQ Plugins for more information.

The framework integrates directly into Sisense. Access is limited to Admins, Designers, and Data Designers, with Admins having full control over plugin management.

Depending on the settings of your environment, the QBeeQ Framework can be found on the left navigation bar (Icon) or the top navigation bar (QBeeQ Framework).

QBeeQ Framework Dashboard

ThQBeeQ provides a dedicated dashboard that lists all installed plugins. Each entry displays key details so that users can easily track plugin status, identify available updates, and manage their licenses efficiently.

Managing plugin licenses can often be complex, but the QBeeQ Framework streamlines this process. Users are provided a single place for handling installations, updates, and licensing, reducing the need for manual intervention and ensuring all QBeeQ plugins remain up to date.

QBeeQ Framework Notifications

To help ensure your environment stays up-to-date with the latest plugin versions, the QBeeQ Framework now includes in-product notifications for plugin updates. Admins and Sys Admins will see a visual indicator next to the QBeeQ Framework tab whenever a new version of an installed plugin is available.

ℹ️

Only Admins are notified. End users and non-admin roles do not see the indicator.

The weekly update check runs automatically and checks installed plugins against available versions. The check can also be triggered manually via the Check for Updates button.

Update notifications in the Framework tab now only appear for plugins with at least one Active license when a newer version is available, eliminating persistent notification dots for uninstalled or unlicensed plugins.
