KPI Card
The KPI Card allows users to create customizable widgets that display multiple metrics and integrate time-series data to streamline dashboard design and performance, eliminating the need for excessive widgets and giving users more data.

Installation and configuration
The KPI Card plugin can be installed by an Admin, following the directions in Installing QBeeQ Plugins.
Operating system and version support:
- Linux - Latest
- Windows - Latest
Getting started
Creating an KPI Card
To create a new KPI Card:
- Choose QBeeQ Advanced Filter from the widget dropdown list
- Select a numeric data in the data panel for the Primary Indicator
- Optionally select numeric data for the Secondary Indicator, Trend Value, Sparkline X-Axis and Sparkline Values
Primary and secondary indicators
Primary Indicator
The primary indicator value displays on the upper-left of the widget.
Setting | Description |
Show Title | Controls the visibility of the value’s title. When enabled, the widget displays a title at the top, providing context or a label for the indicator. When disabled, the title is hidden. |
Title Text | Defines the color of the value’s title, applies to the title text only |
Jump to Dashboard | Enables Jump to Dashboard navigation from the primary value to a specific dashboard, displayed next to the primary value. |

Secondary Indicator
The secondary indicator value displays below the primary indicator value.
Setting | Description |
Enable Secondary | Controls the visibility of the secondary value |
Show Title | Controls the visibility of the value’s title |
Title Text | Defines the color of the value’s title |
Alignment | Defines the location of the value and title |

Trend
A trend in an indicator visualization represents the direction and magnitude of change in a key metric over a specified period. It is typically displayed as an icon alongside a numeric value, indicating whether the metric has increased, decreased, or remained stable. This visual cue helps users quickly assess performance at a glance.
Setting | Behavior |
Enable Trend | Controls the visibility of the trend value/icon, displayed in the upper right corner |
Show Trend Icon | Controls the visibility of the trend icon which is hardcoded, up or down for positive and negative, the color is configured in the data panel, and can be conditional formatted |
Show Title | Controls the visibility of the value’s title |
Show Value | Controls the visibility of the trend value |
Title Text | Defines the color of the value’s title |

Sparkline
A sparkline is a small, simplified chart embedded within a cell or a metric that shows trends or variations in data over time. Its purpose is to provide a compact, at-a-glance view of data trends without the need for a full chart, helping users quickly assess performance or changes.
Sparkline X-Axis and Sparkline Values
To display a sparkline on your KPI Card, values must be selected for both the Sparkline X-Axis and the Sparkline Values. The X-Axis values can be hidden from view using the settings in the design panel.
Setting | Behavior |
Enable Sparkline | Controls the visibility of the sparkline on the widget, displayed on the lower half of the widget. When enabled, a miniature line or bar chart is displayed, providing a quick visual representation of trends over time. When disabled, only the numeric indicator is shown without any trend visualization. |
Show Marker | Adds markers at key data points on the sparkline. When enabled, small dots or shapes appear at significant data points (e.g., peaks, troughs, or last data point). When disabled, the sparkline is displayed as a continuous line without markers. |
Same Color As | Syncs the sparkline or indicator color with another value, either the Primary, Secondary or Trend. |
Show Axis Labels | Displays axis labels on the sparkline. When enabled, the chart includes labels for the X-axis (time) and/or Y-axis (values), improving clarity. When disabled, the chart remains minimalistic with only the trend line visible. |
Jump to Dashboard | Enables Jump to Dashboard navigation from a sparkline datapoint to a specific dashboard |
Type | Defines the visualization type of the sparkline, either line, area or column |
Line Type | Specifies the styling of the sparkline |

Jump to Dashboard
The KPI Card plugin is compatible with the Sisense Jump to Dashboard feature, which is pre-installed on Sisense Linux. The plugin must be installed on Sisense Windows versions. Configuration of Jump to Dashboard for use with the KPI Card can be done using the native configuration.
Customizing value colors
The colors of each value can be customized in the data panel using the native color selector. Users can select a single color, or set up conditional color formatting.
The sparkline colors can be synced to another value (Primary, Secondary or Trend) using the settings in the design panel.
Using the KPI Card
Click to filter
User can select an individual data point, or drag across a range to apply a filter to the entire dashboard.
Jump to Dashboard
When enabled, user can click on the icon associated with the primary indicator or a specific data point on the sparkline. When clicked, the associated dashboard will load.
