Gauge Chart
A gauge chart is used to represent a single metric relative to a defined scale or target. This makes them especially effective for at-a-glance assessments of KPIs, where context and clarity are more important than granular detail.
The Gauge Chart displays values on a semicircular dial with a needle indicating the current value, and allows the user to set optional milestones, as well as define a custom color scheme.
The Gauge Chart is ideal for showing performance against a goal or threshold, like:
- tracking system health (e.g., server uptime)
- business performance metrics (e.g., sales against quota)
- customer satisfaction scores (e.g., NPS or CSAT)

Before you start
Ensure the correct board is connected to the dashboard. The board containing the data you want to visualize must be connected to the dashboard before using Super Charts. Step-by-step guidance can be found in Getting Started.
Creating a Gauge Chart
To create a Gauge Chart,
- Select a value column to measure
- Set your target value
- Set your milestones values and labels (optional)
- Customize unit and color settings (optional)
Selecting a value column to measure
Select a value column from the dropdown list.
Setting your target value
Provide a numeric value greater than zero as your target values. Based on the value provided, the chart will automatically create milestone bands, as well a stretch goal (represented by colors and labels).
Setting your milestones values and labels
You can provide up to 4 milestones and labels. As you set your milestones, the chart will re-render based on the values, and adjust the bands proportionately.
At this time, we do not support turning off the milestones labels. If you do not want to display a label, put a βspaceβ in the label input field.

If needed, you can also define a βstretchβ target/milestone, which should be greater than the original target.

Customizing unit and color settings
You can use the native monday.com unit settings to display your preferred units.
To set a custom color, click the Custom Gradient option. Select a color for the start color, and the end color.
