Advanced Tooltip
The Advanced Tooltip Plugin allows designers to add additional data points to a widget’s tooltip, even if the values are not present on the widget itself, delivering related data seamlessly within the tooltip.
The Advanced Tooltip keeps charts clean while delivering deeper value. Instead of overwhelming users with on-screen data, tooltips surface context only when it's needed—improving readability, reducing clutter, and enabling faster decision-making.

Installation and configuration
The Advanced Tooltip plugin can be installed by an Admin, following the directions in Installing QBeeQ Plugins.

Creating a new Advanced Tooltip
The Advanced Tooltip plugin offers two options for tooltips:
- Pre-defined
- User-defined
This plugin is compatible with Sisense-native column charts, bar charts, line charts, area charts, and pie charts. The Advanced Tooltip option will not display on charts that it is not compatible with.
Pre-defined Tooltip
Pre-defined tooltips are not available for Pie Charts. To use Advanced Tooltips with Pie Charts,
A pre-defined tooltip can be enabled per chart using either the three-dot menu on the widget or when using the widget editor:
- Click the three-dot menu
- Select Advanced Tooltip
- Choose either Tooltip 1 or Tooltip 2
User-defined Tooltip
A pre-defined tooltip can be enabled on a per-chart basis, using the three-dot menu on the widget, or in the widget editor. You ca

- Click Advanced Tooltip
- Select either Tooltip 1 or Tooltip 2

Creating a new Custom Advanced Tooltip
This plugin is compatible with Sisense-native column charts, bar charts, line charts, area charts, and pie charts
The Custom Advanced Tooltip can be enabled on a per-chart basis.
- Enable Advanced Tooltip on a widget
- Select measures as data
- Enable measures to display

- While on the dashboard, click the three-dot menu on a Sisense-native chart
The Custom Tooltip option will not display on charts that it is not compatible with.
- Click Custom Tooltip > Advanced
- Click Apply
- Refresh the dashboard
Select measures as data
- Edit the selected widget
- Add additional measures as Values
- Disable measures that should display on the tooltip
Disabled measures will be visible on the tooltip, allowing you to add more information without changing the data on your chart.
